Our Current Favourite Movie:

It's been ages since I've laughed so hard while watching a movie! A+++

movie

This film is a must see! Scarlett Johansson & Natalie Portman give incredible preformances. The sets & costumes are stunningly sumptuous!

movie poster

This movie is so over the top, it's hard to know where to begin reviewing it. Hmm? The best preformance, by far in this film is given by Ashraf Barhom, who plays Colonel Faris Al Ghaza

Greetings kittens from the land that summer forgot!  It’s been colder than a mother-in-law’s heart here in Vancouver…but we press ever onward.

This week our items are past divine..ok…at least they’re diverse.  Enough said.

Look at this, look at this!  About 26” x 13” x 22 ½”  A wonderful, antique “how it’s survived—I don’t know” magazine stand.  $20

Did you notice the tasteful magazines we’ve used; Canadian Living, Entertainment & National Geographic.  The plant was a bit of an afterthought though.

Not that we’re setting you up or anything, but wouldn’t this stunning, art deco, Czech vase (9 ½” tall) look every so much lovelier on your new table than that ‘somewhat alive’ plant? Hmm? $40/SOLD

Traversing right along…take a look at this collector’s item.  An unused BC Lions Official Grey Cup, T-shirt from 1994!

“Heavens to Merkatroid*”…where do we find this stuff!” $20

*Remember Snagglepuss?  Wasn’t he the greatest?  He sure seemed to have more going on that Yogi or BooBoo.

By the way, me what kind of handle is ‘BooBoo’?

Funky is as funky does with these next items.  A set of futon & chair covers, including pillow covers.

Now won’t you just be that talk of your cul de sac.  $60

Here’s some trivia for you… The next Annual General Meeting for the Jewish Seniors Alliance of Greater Vancouver will be held Thursday, June 26th, 2008, 5:30 pm, Temple Sholom.   It’s true kittens, it’s true!

Speaking of emerging artists.  We were speaking of emerging artists weren’t we?

This is one of the latest pencil etchings by Canadian Aboriginal artist Terence Benwell.  As a resident of the Northwest Territories, his work reflects images to be found along the Slave River, and the shores of Great Slave Lake.

This piece measures 14” x 22”          $200

Hey ho, what’s this?

“Rolling thunder, Harold!”  It’s a crew vest from the movie “The Fly II”

“You must be joking?” “Nope, I’m not.  You know I don’t joke, and I asked you never to bring that up again.”

Just try to find another one of these!  $100

Would anyone like an order of Redneck Calamari?

Knock yourself out…

Not that I’ve ever been to Heaven, although I do hope to have the address when all is said and done.  However, I digress.  Beard_PaPa has opened their Vancouver outlet.  Yes, kittens it the international and extremely delicious cream puff chain!  We’re managing to eat our way through their menu, and in a word…”YUMM!”

Check them out at http://www.muginohousa.com

Perhaps you could serve your delicious serving of Redneck Calamari on this handy, yet trendy, side table.  Also great for the patio, balcony, gazebo, pergola, and the old shed in the north 40.

Today’s Special…$5!

‘They’ say that if you remember the 60s you weren’t really there.  Break into small groups and discuss.

In the meantime here’s a 1960s dining set.  Table, 5 chairs, and two leaves.  Ixnay on the partridge in a pear tree. $200

table and chairs
